hoover vision hd water element not working?

my washing machine is not heating the water even on a boil wash so have ordered a new element but want to know if it is a easy job to change and where it found

have you checked to see if it is the element?or are just hoping it is?its easy to check,could be just a loose connection,or the pressure switch,or the thermostat
