why wont my ford fiesta run properly?

The biggest problem with this box is the engine having too many revs. If the engine is perfect in N but is killing it in D then try this. With engine running move selector out of N towards a drive position without it actually going into drive. Its a bit tricky but if the revs climb up over a thousand then it's the same as dropping the clutch on a manual and will try and stall it. If it takes up drive no problem but will not accelerate then its possible the box is stuck in high ratio.
