Bush 32 LCD - no sound or picture?

I have a 32" Bush LCD TV that suddenly stopped working. I was watching it, there was a crackling sound and then the picture disappeared.
When i switched it off and on again a fuzzy picture will appear for a few seconds with no sound and then dsappear again. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with it and whether it would be expensive to fix.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
