Television Problem...Please Help!!!!?

I hava a RCA television Model # F32650 it worked fine till the other day the picture went out with a swirl of red and the t.v turned off. I turned it back on but it wouldn't so I unplugged it let it reset and then I turned it back on and it worked. The next day it did it again this time no picture and a loud whining sound. I unplugged it so it could reset and it will not and is still making the whining sound with no picture just black screen. Can you help me. I think it's a short but how can i repair that at home? because I truley don't have the money for a repair shop. PLEASE HELP???
