Mend Briggs & Stratton 16.5 hp Engine Straton

Engine ?

I have a 16.5 hp briggs and straton on my MTD riding lawnmower. It often smokes when started and now has a static leak on the bottom. and when started it throws oil all over is it worth fixing.

A momentary puff of smoke on starting is normal - some new engines do it. The oil leak is just a seal - fixable easily and cheaply.
