i have a 12hp briggs straton sit on lawn cant find engine num any where can tell me the num needed to order a carburetor float for this or what would do with thanks roy

The engine number on my 12 hp Briggs & Stratton lawn tractor is located on the front of the engine(the end closest to the front of the mower when you lift up the engine hood). It is kind of difficult get close to it, so get a flashlight and shine it from the side after cleaning off all the crude on the engine.
