Mend Vauxhall Corsa Time

how do I rectify my 1998 vauxhall corsa factory fitted alarm problem?

Every time I lock car the door the alarm activates after a few seconds. Can it be reset by disconnecting the battery for a short time.I've checked all the door, bonnet, and boot switches the interior light is not on and all windows are closed .
