Ariston 1636S door not locking?

Hi i went to put my washing in this morning and the door wouldnt shut any ideas please.Also how do we take the front piece off so we can get to that area thanks

Ariston Ariston 1636S Household Appliances, Washing Machines Door Not Locking

hi, on machine lid at back there mayb a couple of screws holding lid on , take screws out and pull lid backwards firmly to unclip lid.make sure machine is not pluged in,there are live terminals etc in the top area of machine. u should be able to get at door lock etc. door locks are under £20 quid. hope this helps. cheers!
