Mend Peugeot 306 HDI Diesel Battery

peugeot 306 hdi estate year 2000 wont start?

has been perfect until Christmas day
battery does seem very low but have trickle charged over night but still no joy.
-before i start looking into glow plugs and relays do you think i should change battery?
glow plug indicator ( its a meter which shows min - max ) works
after charging -this morning got about 2 chances to turn over but would not fire.
i assume its unlikely that no glow plugs are working?

any suggestions welcome.

would get your battery tested,any doubt renew,turn ign.on and check you are getting 12v to your glow plugs and should cut off after a while which would indicate the system is functioning ok,disconnect all wiring to each glow plug and flick a 12v live onto each plug in turn,you should get a small spark at each one,if not replace faulty plugs,good luck
