I have a Gener 8 Glide plus?

the hot plate does not get hot but the power is on and the steam works, i stripped it down and did continuity checks and found that there was no elec power to a small (what looks like ) capacitor from the red mains cable to the plate, could it be that the capacitor needs replacing and where can i get one? I am in Liverpool UK, Thanks Brian
