How to paint a scratch in metal table top?

I purchased a flexsteel side table with a metal top, but it has a scratch on it where the paint is gone and the silver metal is showing through. It is less than an inch in length and I think it is fixable, I just don't know what to use on it. The top is like a hammered copper with lots of uniform dents and splashes of black and copper paint colors. Do I use metal paint? Anyone have advice?
