Resetting 9800 Scantronic Panel?

Turned off power - battery was already disconed and NVM chip was out. Connected battery, turned on power and started to insert chip. As soon as chip made contact with its seat, siren went off. Inserted chip completely.Internal siren going off - no feedback at panel - Day light lighted up - no response to either eng code or user code. Have removed chip again to stop siren.

hi gts - thank you for the steps - did most as you set out but will try from top again tomorrow in the daylight. Alarm was sounding once I put chip in and connected battery. Had not turned power back on with chip in - would that have been my problem i.e. panel would not respond to keying in codes.

i see,ok,try remove the power,before open the case,then diss the battery,remove the nvm,reco the battery,apply mains power,refit the nvm,the end stion will load the factory defaults,user code 1234 engin code 07890,now you need to reprogramme the system,make sure you put nvm right way up,

gts, i spoke to you here before. I had taken the NVM chip out to reset the panel and bent a pin. Ordered a new chip and it arrived this week. Battery is disconnected and with chip out panel says nothing as presumably there would be no power. Inserted chip into panel and green light at bottom came on with one red light but no message. Entered default customer code and engineer code but internal alarm kept ringing.

plenty,,but you dont give too much away mate,like what did the panel say before you messed with it?the more info you give,the better the response,if you cant be bothered,then go elsewere,
