Mend Zanussi ZWX1605W Washing Machine Carbon Brushes Spin Cycle

Whats wrong with my Zanussi ZWX1605W washing machine?

When I turn it on all the lights flash in unison & the machine regularly bleeps.

It started to stop when it got to spin cycle so I changed the carbon brushes but now its doing the above

I will check filter, have cleaned it but not checked inside.

Re C brushes, yes I did lay it down & yes unfortunately there was conditioner in the drawer. Power was off, so wouldn't PCB be OK?

remove the filter and look inside the filter housing and check the drain pump impeller rotates freely.when you changed the brushes did you lay the machine on its side with the soap draw at the top?.Only reason I ask this is by doing this water can run in to the electronics and kill the pcb!!
