What is the long term solution to a frozen condensate pipe?

My Worcester-Bosch Junr. boiler cuts out completely in heavy frosty weather. At the moment the Installer has cut the pipe and it is feeding into a pail inside the house. What can I do to solve this problem in the future?

Trap it internally to a sink/basin/bath waste, or even soil stack although if you use the last option, be sure to have it trapped.
