The fan is supposed to carry on running after the oven is turned off. It should switch off when the oven has been safely cooled down. If its noisy-its knackered.
Go to; www.espares.co.uk and get yourself a new one the old one has a bearing problem (probably dried out) which will only fail again within a couple of weeks if you try to repair it.
