How to fix fame not working on Heat Surge?

we have this fireplace. You may need to check the bulbs, the flame only works if there are working light bulbs.
Ours works just fine, but we can't get it to turn off. The heat blower turns off, but the flame will not go off!

On the front lower panel there are a screw on either side remove screws then panel, you will see two 120vac 40w bulbs with a spring clip on them. Slip the spring clip off and unscrew bulbs, one or both may be burned out. be sure to unplug heater first. on mine the right bulb burnt out causing both not to work I moved the left bulb over to the right socket and plugged in and turned on and it worked then I replaced the bad one and I was in business. Hope this helps.

Our flame quit working also, after a long period of use. My husband took it apart and found that there is a small motor, turns a spindle that has foil wrapped around. It's the motor that isn't working. If you take it apart, you will find this spindle has foil strips wrapped around and when the motor turns it simulates flame behind a orangish plastic glass. Very unique.
We are trying to locate a motor for it and we will be good to go. Motor #sjsygo498120-ac 110 120 volt, 50/60hz 4w 15/18rpm ccw In case you locate one let me know.
We love this fireplace, works well for us.
