Zanussi ZBM879 SW inner grill element not working?

The outer grill element works but the inner grill element does not. Do I just need to replace the element ? or is this indicative of a more complicated electrical fault ?

usually a stright forward grill element issue.put a multimeer across the inner 2 terminals and see what the reading is usually 40-50 ohms.suspect yours will be open circuit
