if i drain some water away using little hose at side of filter it will restart

c k many thanks .you was spot on .i followed your sugestion and there was part ov a zip wedged in there .

remove the filter
shine a torch in to the filter housing and check if something is jammed in the drain pump impellor.To cancel the last program hold the start button pressed for 3-5 seconds and allow machine to reset.once reset start a new program as normal
