You have two choices:

Find, read and UNDERSTAND the manual for your PC

Research thoroughly and UNDERSTAND (Start with some of the memory manufacturer webistes: www.kingston.com www.crucial.com.

You could even do a Google search for "how to put memory in a pc"

Alternatively, and especially if you are not able to UNDERSTAND what you read, then find someone who knows and UNDERSTANDS what they are doing.

Then learn how to use Google.

It depends on the card and the computer and you don't say what either is. However you can download a manual for the computer that will explain it all at www.hp.com
