Mend Sunbeam T-35

sunbeam toaster?

When I plug my radiant T-35 in, it automatically comes on without putting anything in it. I have to unplug it to have the toast pop back up, is there anything I can adjust or do to solve this, or just throw away the toaster.

I had the same problem. Took off the darker/lighter dial and turned that screw slowly counter-clockwise then I heard a click. Plugged it in and it was fixed. Not sure if something got reset or just pure luck, but its working fine now.
