how to fix l42vp01u hitachi tv?

Does it say no signal?

I guess not if you have sound? do you have anyothing on screen like the menus?

If you have menus, its the mainboard, if you have nothing on screen but grey backlight, its the mainboard/lcd, if you have just pure black same as when off, its the inverter board.

I have same set, its had loads of faults, its not hitachi its a vestel same as alba/bush/goodmans, but with a more expensive badge on the front.
