How can I fix my LG Chocolate Bl40?

Hi, I bought an LG Chocolate bl40 phone and it was working just fine when suddenly it just shut off. Now no matter what I do it will show me the LG logo but that is it...it will not go into the system or anything. Just stays frozen with the LG logo, it will not even let me shut it down I have to take the battery out for it to shut down. Also if I plug the phone in the computer and take the battery out it still does the same thing and will just stay at the LG logo. Is this a known issue? I would greatly appreciate any help available to fix this phone because I really do like it. Thank you very much for your help and time.
