Mend Hotpoint WF220 Rinse Spin Cycle Going

Hotpoint wf220 not moving onto rinse and spin cycle?

Set the machine going on any programmeand it will not move onto the rinse and spin cycle. I can hear the pump working but the drum stays still. The on/off light flashes and the light for the midi load comes on, even though this hasn't been selected. It does this for approx 5 mins before it will turn off. The belt is still on. Any suggestions. Thanks
