how can i fix my 2004 transit connect interiour light?

when the doors are open the interiour lights are on but dont switch off when i close the doors

are they going off eventually?it is probably on a timer controlled by an ecu,if it bothers you,it may have to go onto a good code reader,maybe a main dealer to maybe adjust this,sorry dont know but it may be a fixed setting that you cant adjust
