How can I stop my Aquarious VTD60 Dryer display flickering ? ?

My Aquarious VTD60 Tumble Dryer display and control button lights flicker when the machine is operating. The machine appears to stop on time at the end of the requested cycle but it is not possible to stop it in mid cycle unless the mains switch is swithed OFF. Switching power ON again seems to reinitialize the control board and displays the requested cycle "end" on the display. During the flickering phase, the measured input voltage at the back of the control board fluctuates from the nominal 4.5 volt to about 2 volt. Does the machine need a new control board or new voltage regulator ?
