why cant i view all the picture on my wide screen tv?

if im watching sports news or film ect i cant see all the picture the writing is missing at the sides

Hi, check aspect ratio settings, eg, 16:9, 4:3. also check if any zoom functions have been pressed on your remote, hope this helps.
