Remove the centre bolt, then pull off the pulley assy. That's really all there is to it, BUT of course, it's probably seized on.
Rig a puller to pull on the bottom pulley and bear on the bolt, which you should thread about 5 turns into the crank. By the time the pulley is off this far, you should be able to lever it off the rest of he way.
Remove the deck, and bonnet, then stand the entire tractor on it's rear end. No problems with access that way.
