How to remove my Westwood engine?

I am trying to put a replacement engine in my Westwood mower but am unsure how to remove the pulley shaft which attaches to the bottom of the engine?

After spending most of the morning trying to unseize the pulley on my Westwood, I noticed that there's a hole in it just below the groove that carries the drive belt - I wondered whether there might be a screw or something in there preventing me from pulling the assembly off the shaft from the engine.
And can you tell me what I am trying to separate here please? Splines perhaps? If so, no wonder they are stuck!

Remove the centre bolt, then pull off the pulley assy. That's really all there is to it, BUT of course, it's probably seized on.

Rig a puller to pull on the bottom pulley and bear on the bolt, which you should thread about 5 turns into the crank. By the time the pulley is off this far, you should be able to lever it off the rest of he way.

Remove the deck, and bonnet, then stand the entire tractor on it's rear end. No problems with access that way.
