how can I fix my kenmore heavy duty 70 series dryer?

The dryer a kenmore heavy duty 70 series will start but with a load noise, then turn off. I have to let it sit for a while then turn it back on. What is wrong....and how do you fix it.

Hello,

Sounds like your motor is heating up and then shutting off on its safety switch. It will reset once the motor is cool only to shut off again after it heats up. You can check for lint build up around the motor but most times the motor will need to be replaced.
