Mend Lite-on LVW-5055 DVD Recorder Eject

Recorded DVDRW disk stuck in Lite-on LVW-5055 DVD+/- recorder?

i have a lite-on LVW-5055 recorder which was working fine until 4/29/2006; after that time, I tried to eject the recorded disk (which *plays* the recorded programs just fine), but disk drawer will not open! Have powered unit off and on many times since then, but even though the disk can be read and played, it will not eject.

What to do next?

on the front of dvd burners and readers, is a very small hole to put in a small allen key to wind the draw out. in the event of a fault. and is in most burner instruction books.
