W-Reg Punto Heater Not Working?

Hi all.

I hope somebody can help me here as my little Punto is really starting to annoy me with all the problems I am having.

I have a W-Reg Punto and a few weeks ago I noticed that my temperature gauge was getting dangerously high and sometimes even the red indicator light came on. I noticed that my Radiator Fan had seized up so I had this replaced, which I hoped would solve the problem.

This has eased the problem but the gauge is still usually higher than is should be but not quite getting in the ‘danger zone’. I have given it a week or so to see if it sorted itself out but this hasn’t happened.

This morning I then came to turn my heater fan on to clear my windscreen and it was only blowing cold air.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this? I really don’t want to it to a garage if at all possible.
