how do you reset a sr90 alarm after putting new battery in car ?

I have sparkrite Sr90 alarm also a sr911 fitted in my car berfore i bought it. Two weeks ago i replaced the car battery and now i cant use the remote to open and close my car. the red light comes on in my car for the alarm depending on which battery terminal is taken off and put back on again. on one occation the battery light stays on. 2nd occation light goes off. 3rd occation the light stayed on and as soon as i started the car there was a light sound of the alarm going off and as it charged it got a bit louder. On all these occations i was unable to use my remote even though the light in the remote was flickering. i tried my spare remote as well. all this was done with a halfords assistant who was also baffled with this matter. he checked all the wires on this alarm but no luck. Halfords has stopped dealing with sparkrite 2 years ago. please can someone shed a bit of light on this subject. By the way i can still get in and out of my car with the key.
