Mend Candy DWI 160/1 Dishwasher Program Fine

Candy DWI 160/1?

The dishwasher starts any program fine, but then blows the RCD. Is this because when it needs to heat the cold water if the element isn't working, then as a failsafe the RCD gets tripped. To put it another way, is this a sign that the heater element has failed?
