otherwise fully operational. Looking for method of manually releasing door mechanism.

Turn off the power at the plug, and the door should open. Alternatively if it is still in operation, Check that the safety button for the child lock hasnt been accidently activated. The doors are really easy to release usually if those steps are taken. Failing that call out an engineer.
