Mend Hotpoint WD71 Half Wash Load

How do I do a half wash load??!!?

I got my Hotpoint WD71 2nd hand at a works auction so have no instructions.
Is there a way of doing a 'half load'???!!!! Sorry for being thick!!!!!

HI I TOO HAVE JUST BOUGHT ONE WITH A FAULTY DRYER, i DONT KNOW ABOUT HALF LOAD BUT i USE A REFRESH PROGRAMME IF I ONLY HAVE HALF A LOAD, IT ONLY TAKES 35-40 MINS, JUST IN CASE YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT THIS YOU DO IT BY PRESSING THE SPECIAL PROGRAMMES BUTTON UNTIL YOU GET TO REFRESH
