How can I get cold water to my bathroom sink and toilet cistern?
I have an intermittent problem in that 9 times out of 10 there is no water supply to my cold water tap in the batroom and toilet cistern while the cold water to the shower seems unaffected. It's like Russian roulette or a lottery! Advice would be appreciated.
the water in the shower might be comming from a tank up in the loft, and the bathroom sink and toilet , might be fed from the mains, not sure if this bathroom is upstairs or down , it could be getting air locked. try getting a small lenth of hose, 1 foot, long , put one end into the cold tap were the water should come out , and the other into the hot tap, so your linking the two taps , open the cold tap all the way, now slowley turn the hot tap on, to send the water through , cold tap and back down ,its empty pipes to hit the air lock , and move the blocked water, to get it flowing again, ps wear gloves, worth a try ..
