how do I replace drive belt on murry model 9-38608x92?

Select Motion Drive (p86) for model 38608.

1. Remove pulley item 24. Notice how the flat side of the drive belt rides next to the pulley. The idler bracket is spring loaded and can be moved to release tension.
2. Slip off the belt off item 23 toward the top side of the mower. Notice the v-belt rides in the groove of the pulley.
3. Slide the belt off the item 16 on Engine diagram (p92). Notice the v-belt rides in the groove of the pulley. You will have to remove the blade drive belt from it's pulley to complete this step.
4. Notice the path the belt takes. My belt was installed through a bar area that had a hair pin holding it. This needs to come out to get the belt off.
5. Pull as much belt slack toward the rear pulley.The belt end near the backside idler pulley gets push up through the housing, around the gear arm and comes out near the pulley again.
6. Install in reverse order.
7. Caution: Make sure there are no twists in the belt be fore reinstalling the backside idler pulley.
