Mend Craftsman 917.254240 Lawn Mower Drive Belt Replacement

drive belt replacement Craftsman II 12hp 38" tractor?

Drive belt on my Craftsman II 12hp 38" cut model#917.254240 snapped.
I got a new one but need a little direction on how to replace it. Is there a pulley adjustment to back off so I canslip the new belt over them like a car alternator?

you will have to disconnect the mower deck from the tractor. The belt needs to straddle the hanger on the right side.
