When vI press the ignition and hold in the knob it's fine. The minute I let go of the ignition the gas goes out. Top burners and grill are fine, it's only the oven.
sounds like the thermocouple has gone on the oven, common fault

Most likely the thermocouple has packed up, call your local gas man and get it changed. £10 max for a new part and an hour max to fit if its a run of the mill make cooker.
