YOU NEED TO GET A GAS ENGINEER TO HAVE A LOOK.THERE IS A SMALL ELECTRODE THAT GETS HOT AND LETS GAS THROUGH.IT IS A SAFETY DEVICE SO IF THE PIOLT LIGT GOES OUT IT TURNS GAS OFF SO YOU DO NOT GET GASSED.IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED A NEW ONE.THANKS
