Mend Flymo Power Trim 700 Cutting Replaced

how do i fix my flymo power trim 700?

my flymo is overfeeding the trimmer line and not automaticlly cutting it which means the line is just getting tangled i have replaced the spool the spool cover i have noticed the guard is broken and am awaiting delivery of new one not sure it this will rectify problem
