Is my Mitre saw worth repairing??

I have a Performance Power Compound Mitre saw. I was cutting a small log which got stuck in the blade and broke the cast aluminium guide.
However, the blade has now disengaged and does not spin under power - its as if it is disconnected from the drive spindle
Has this just become dislodged and easily replaced or have I likely done more serious damage???

The rotating blade is fixed to the motor shaft by a nut and a pressure washer. Likely that the nut has come undone.

With a broken guard it's more a case of is it safe rather than is it worth it.
