strange noise from hoover wa110 washing machine?

i have a hoover washing machine and its started making a rather loud clunk noise when draining the water.
Just before the prog 10 it was clunking very loudly so i moved it to number 10 setting and it stopped to do a spin. It started again when it came onto drain.
Any ideas?

I'm not very technical and tried to find a filter but the removable front cover at the bottem doesnt reveal a filter - could it be something blocking a pipe ?

any answer would be gratefull - having a 2 year old and no washing machine could be disaster
