Mend Hoover 600F Washing Machine Filter

How do I clean the filter of my old Hoover New Wave 600F washer?

I know you are supposed to clean the filter regularly, but I don't even seem to be able to get the panel off the front of the machine. I once had a manual, but now I can't find it.

Hoover Hoover 600F Household Appliances, Washing Machines Washing Machine Hoover Filter

You dont have a front access filter you will have a sump filter which is a hose on the bottom of the tub underneath, if you undo the clip to get to it you will probably find allsorts in there like coins etc. unplug machine first!
