I have a nissan almera N16 2006, it does not start, the engine just cranks. Checked it and there is no power in fuel pump even in the fuel pump relay. Fuse is ok. Checked for loosen wires, all seems ok. Any ideas?
PS The car is parked for 2 years but I started it every 2 weeks, during the last 2 months it does not start.
First thing you need to know is that the pump will actually run!
I use a special tool called a power probe but you can achieve the same results with a long jumper wire from the battery pos'
you need to connect it to the main 12v feed wire to the fuel pump,
if you then hear the pump buzz you know you have an electrical power feed fault.
no buzz,
which is much more likely means the pump is shot,
which would be my guess.
