My washer, Maytag Ensignia Model MAV6457/AWW, Serial No. 2005235CX leaks hot water only when machine is off. It was bought in December of 2003 at Sears.How can I correct this?
It sounds like you need to change the water valve. Sediment will settle in the valve and the valve will not close all the way. If the only way to shut the water off is to shut the water down before it comes into the washer, bad fill valve.
