The social networking app on my LG Pop isn't working, how do i fix this?

When I click on the social networking app on my LG Pop, a loading circle appears after facebook, twitter etc. after the circle says 40 a box comes up explaining that a network error has occured and to try again later, the target name cannot be found.
how do if fix this? i only just got the phone yesterday :S
