Mend Kenmore 116.2441081 Model Off Bad

kenmore 116.2441081 4.1 model on/off switch bad?

How do i get to the switch on this model. I checked the other answer on how to get to the screws but on this model, the extractor button has shoulders all the way around it and slimply shoving a screwdriver under the button will cause the button to break. Top cover has to come off another way to get to the switch? Oscar
