all hotpoints have a filter its hidden in the sump hose the large black hose that is connected to the bottom of the outer drum squeeze the clip tails to release the clamp.
Do a service wash 95 degs no clothes add a good dose of bleach along with the powder should kill the smell repeat every 3 months
