how to fix my lawnmower?

i have a champion petrol mower it starts but then after 5-10 seconds it just keeps cutting out this happens every time ,plenty of petrol in the tank could there be a fuel starvation problem or something,

Have you taken out the air filter and cleaned it yet? If not, take it out completely and try to start and run the lawnmower without it.
Check to see if you are getting gas to the carburetor. I suggest to look into the throat of the carburetor, while the air cleaner and the cover are both removed. Now push the little primer several times. Protect your eyes naturally.
