haytor lawnmower - how can I fix petrol flooding ?
recently replaced a new blade on my mower. used up what petrol was in it before turning on side to access base. since that time it keeps flooding . puffing out smoke and eventually chokes and cuts out. any ideas how to find cause / remedy ?
If you tipped it on its side it has probably soaked the paper element air filter in oil, via the engine breather, remove the filter and run the engine until it stops smoking, replace the filter with a new one, check the oil level in the engine.
